The Basics of Design Theory is a compulsory course of the first year of the Msc course of the Faculty of Architecture dealing with issues of architectural design theory. The introductory theoretical course shows with the cooperation of the four design departments (Department of Industrial and Agricultural Building Design, Department of Residential Building Design, Department of Public Building Design and Department of Urban Planning and Design) the multidisciplinarity of architectural design and gives a basic design knowledge for the Complex design course of the oncoming semester. The fellows of the various departments show the specialties of their own field in short thematic blocks and all together show the complexity of design.
