Balaton Highland Study Trip / On Saturday 18.04.2015

Departure:  meeting at 8.45 in front of the BME K Building (car park)

Arrival: at around 21:00, BME K Building.

The planned route: Veszprém – historic city center and socialist transformation # Ajka – industrial city and post-socialist renewal # Devecser, Kolontár – rebuilding process after the red mud catastrophe #  Káli Basin, Badacsony – vernacular patterns of a historic wine region # northern shore Balaton – recreation areas and emerging urban landscape # Balatonfüred – historc bathing culture and contemporary rehabilitation # Tihany – monastery, natural reserve and modern lakeshore development.

The journey will be organized in the frame of the course Hungarian Cities but it is open to other students.
